Come in any time in-between 6 pm and 9 pm and join artists on the floor with live musicians and a live costumed model! In Portrait & ‘Anything Goes’ Open Studio you can paint, sculpt, sketch, etc. on the fine art floor. Whether you are brand spanking new to art or are the consummate pro; gain support, technique tips, encouragement and friendship every Tues eve. Bring your own materials, set yourself up on an easel and paint the live model, sketch the live musicians or you can bring in that painting that you started 5 years ago and actually get around to completing it! The model sits in a long pose for 2 - 3 weeks, giving artists ample time to finish their paintings. Ambient live music permeates the evening! HS juniors and seniors (16+ w/parental permission), artist couples and active senior citizens are encouraged. If you're a complete beginner, come on in and we'll help you get set up! Walk in any evening and pay on the spot.
